Cabman

 

 

Cab Manager(Cabman) is a utility for opening and creating Microsoft CAB compressed files. CAB is a file compression format used by Microsoft to distribute many of their products, including Windows 98. Cabman can open CAB files to display a list of the files contained inside. You can extract or view files inside a CAB archive or self-extracting file, or add new files to a CAB file.

Cabman also allows you to create self-extracting, self-installing packages for the Internet. It can also be used to check the authenticity and integrity of the files using Authenticode. It also provides effective LZX/LZ77 compression.

 

This newest version has the ability to encrypt cabinet files using RSA RC2, RC4 and DES.

Requirements

Cab Manager requires Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP(tm) (or later) or Windows 98/ME(tm).

Cab Manager does not support Windows 3.1, or Windows NT 3.51. In addition Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later is recommended.
